It would have been a curse on me as a blogger(from bangalore) if i dont do a posting on the "forum mall".Tht too with my work place just opp i believe its my duty...so here I am....why is that there is always some considerable amount of ppl moving in and out over here? Do ppl come here with a real purpose? I would easily say a NO!! The majority here are either waiting for his/her gal/boy friend or they come as a pair. They go to an extent of even getting emotional (I believe u understand wht i meant). Of course its their duty to waste their parent's money isn't it? So who are the major crowd pullers here??KFC??PVR??Pizza hut? Transit?? or women..ya may be the women...no I would say its the way they dress to be perfect..ya thts true..may be they also have a separate costume(preferably some kind of skimpy clothes) to be worn when they visit places like these..So wht is the resultant?? Guys without gf's(may be they are in search of?) are also here. Are the women to be blamed here???...ok let us take an example of a middle class family visiting the forum..they can't afford to spend some heavy cash on KFC’s or McDonalds’ ..so wht do they do ..they get a cup of "Chinese corn" for 40 bugs inside the premises instead of a cone of "baked or stuffed rice" (Pori) which costs only a meager amount of 5 bugs which is just outside the premises ...Why is tht??"Pori is Indian man....i am in Las Vegas now...i am not used to eating these kind of spicy stuff."..
Wht has been the effect on ppl like me?? Loss..loss..absolute loss..there were days when i used to think twice of getting a black ticket for 60 or 80 bugs to watch a movie(in coimbatore)..but wht now .. i pay 150 bugs to watch a movie legally(courtesy:PVR)... just walk past the mall u end up buying or eating something. again loss..i have learnt how one can waste time..i have also seen how ppl sit there chatting having nothing to do tht too on Monday mornings when everyone are busy doing something or the other......
Worth a visit here are firangi paani, landmark and PVR cinemas

well i agree with our view abt all these hi fi shopping malls..they have nothing to blame..just it laid out for the people to choose.
then why didnt u ever write about these high end pubs which charge u the money for a shot of liquor for which u can actually buy a bottle at ur local wine shop.
that is bcos it come with the dj and the service.
so it is with shopping malls.
that is what happens to people who come only for window shopping...they have to pay for all the fun thru other means.
lets forget other people...with all the enlightment gitu buddha has acheived has he stopped visiting the forum?

u seem to be talking about some dj,service and some local wine shop..actually i can't get u ..wht are all these meant for..sorry...ma'am u have mistaken me..i am a complete teetotaller actually i have not come across such things..to do a posting on this ..requires complete knowledge on it..so i did not.. :-);)any way u may be true..

your view on this forum thingie has hit the bull's eye...I am a big time fan of Forum and PVR...:-)...have been faithfully visiting it from the days forum started...you can find me atleast on 1 day of the weekend, in forum every week...will spend mostly on books / movies and nothing else..sometimes on Coffee at Kalmane Koffee...have u been there...superb filter coffee..particularily..the home brewn coffee taste...namma aam koffee mathiri irukkum...:-)....

@rajesh : My work place is just opp to "The Forum" .I go there only to serve some purpose.

great...!! sorry mate..I work in EC, and stay in EC, so goto forum...just for the sake of the weekends...;-)...but I feel Forum is much better a place to hangout than Garuda Mall, which I felt is too crunched fr space...what say???

ya ..its definitely better than garuda..but i would say INOX screens at the garuda are better compared to PVR... i believe the rush and hush at the garuda maal is basically due to the location as it is adjacent to Blore central,MG rd and brigade rd.

Yep...garuda is crowded..more so because of the way it was constructed....Forum is constrcuted on a simple geography...a rectangular/square field....you know at once, how many floors and shops are at view..but garuda mall is a winding structure..you have to actually walk quite a bit to reach the next floor, when you are using the escalator....you would get lost...something like Spencers PLaza in chennai, where still I can't figure out a shop, where once I bought my first mobile...:-)

as we can see so much malls here in bangalore..why is it not happeneing in coimbatore?? A initiative was taken in the name of cheran towers..but present its turned in to an beggar's paradise at .wht would be the possible reasons for its downfall.What may be the possible reasons??location,the porscheness or the ppl itslef.Note tht ppl in cbe are not used in spending hot cash for just a coffee.
