On listening to my colleague who said that the homes in Shiridi have no doors and that you can see money of different denominations just lying on the road I decided to pay a visit to this strange place.Also it seems no one touches it.Strange isn't it?But that was not the case when I went there.So was it a prank?Not really,that rich village is called Shridisingapur and is around 20km from Shiridi which I came to know after reaching there.Due to time constraints couldn't visit that place.OK anyhow lem'me share the tiresome journey from Pune-Shiridi-Pune.Took the Maharashtra Road Transport Corporation bus from Pune's ST bus stand to Shiridi as there was no other option for me.

This bus is nothing but a typical lock-up.There is no back door and also no space to walk.The front door is locked and the driver/conductor have a cabin in a Mini bus(it is a mini bus comparative to the buses in South India).Wonder for whom was this bus designed for.For the driver/conductor or for the passengers.

The highway took us through the Deccan plateau.Hardly could i find any green color anywhere.

When our bus somehow made it to Ahmad Nagar,the radiator decided to call it for the day (1 pm).It won't cool down.I wonder how the radiator made it this far even at this age. With the temperature around close to 40*,you are in no mood to complain anyone.

Reached Shiridi around 4 pm just to take this snap and get a glimpse of Saibaba as my return bus was scheduled @ 7 pm

This journey gave me a glimpse of what is in store for us at our pet project make your trip.With just 1000 bucks in you pocket you can't afford to travel in a luxury bus like the one above (FYI it cost me 157 bucks from Pune to Shiridi).This is where trucks are of great help.But then you are at the mercy of those truck drivers.Ready to take the risk?Visit make your trip.
